The objective of the EcoVadis assessment is to gain a clear understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices within OMAL (namely environment, social aspects, ethics, and supply chain).
For 2024, our company was awarded the SILVER MEDAL with a score of 74 out of 100, standing out particularly in the macro areas of “Environment” and “Labor & Human Rights Practices.”
This result places OMAL among the top 15% of companies evaluated by EcoVadis that achieved the highest scores in the last 12 months (93rd percentile).
In 2023, in line with our biennial schedule, we once again carried out the Corporate Carbon Footprint analysis. The study was conducted with the aim of identifying, quantifying, and managing GHG emissions (Carbon Footprint) related to the company’s entire production activities. Specifically, greenhouse gas emissions associated with the entire life cycle of OMAL valves were assessed: from the extraction and processing of raw materials to production, transport, use, and final disposal.
OMAL chose to supply itself with electrical energy from renewable sources. All the products of OMAL, therefore are run by machines powered by green energy supplied to us by A2A.
The company offsets the CO₂ emissions associated with users' navigation on its official website by supporting certified and verifiable projects carried out by the Rete Clima® association.
